      To murder someone in cold blood - asesinar a alguien a sangre fría
      To have a bone to pick with someone - tener que ajustar cuentas con alguien
      To rack one's brains - comerse el coco
      To fall on deaf ears - caer (algo) en saco roto
     to be up to one's eyes in work/debts/problems, etc - estar hasta el cuello de trabajo/deudas/problemas, etc.
     in the twinking of an eye - en un abrir y cerrar de ojos
     to have a finger in every pie - estar en el plato y en la tajada
     to pull someone's leg - tomarle el pelo a alguien
     to get out of hand - desmandarse, irse de las manos

     to be a butter-fingers - tener las manos de trapo
     to keep one's ear to the ground - mantenerse alerta/al loro
     to have feet of clay - tener los pies de barro
     to bite one's tongue - morderse la lengua
